Prime Minister Narendra Modi is prepared to inaugurate an ancient milestone in India’s city shipping scenario as he unveils the United States’ first underneath-river metro line in Kolkata. This landmark occasion underscores the company’s commitment to improving urban mobility and connectivity via innovation.

The establishment of the riverside metro line in Kolkata represents a major leap forward in India’s infrastructure improvement. The 4.8-km segment of the Kolkata Metro growth mission connects Howrah Maidan with the Esplanade, organizing a key link beneath the Hooghly River.

The landmark assignment at a value of Rs 4,965 crore was provided by means of India’s private metro station, Howrah, that’s 30 meters under floor stage. Kolkata Metro Extension is a fundamental part of the East West Metro Corridor, providing easy connectivity to key areas like the IT hub in Salt Lake Sector V.

Apart from inaugurating the beneath-river metro hall, PM Modi will unveil two other essential metro sections in Kolkata: Kavi Subhash-Hemant Mukhopadhyay metro phase and Tartala – Majerhat metro phase. The latter is placed at Majerhat Metro Station, an improved station designed to accommodate railway tracks, structures and canals, supplying the most accessibility for passengers.

In addition, PM Modi will inaugurate diverse infrastructure initiatives across the United States of America, geared toward easing road congestion and strengthening public connectivity. These initiatives encompass Pune Metro, Kochi Metro Rail Phase I Expansion, Agra Metro and the Duhai-Modinagar (North) section of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS line.

Furthermore, PM Modi will provoke numerous infrastructure obligations at some stage in the USA aimed at assuaging street site congestion and bolstering public connectivity. These tasks encompass stretches of the Pune Metro, the Kochi Metro Rail Phase I Extension, the Agra Metro, and the Duhai-Modinagar (North) section of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS Corridor.

The inauguration of these tasks demonstrates the authorities’s dedication to fostering sustainable city development and improving the quality of life for residents. PM Modi may also lay the foundation stone for the extension of the Pune Metro Rail project segment 1 among Pimpri Chinchwad Metro-Nigdi, further advancing public transportation infrastructure inside the place.

Later in the day, PM Modi will inaugurate infrastructure-associated tasks worth approximately Rs. 12,800 crore in Bettiah, West Champaran district, Bihar. This complete schedule underscores the government’s holistic approach to infrastructure development throughout various states, promoting financial growth and nearby connectivity.

PM Modi’s 3-day visit to Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar from March 4 to 6 underscores the government’s commitment to advancing inclusive improvement and infrastructure enhancement duties nationally.
