Top 10 Logistics Companies in the UK 2026

Our 2026 guide to the top 10 logistics companies in the UK, from DHL Supply Chain and GXO to Culina, Unipart and DPD, with the latest revenue, rankings and news.

Top 10 Logistics Companies in the UK 2026

Logistics is everywhere in the UK. You just don’t see it until a package doesn’t show up.

Behind every shop shelf and next-day parcel is a logistics provider that stored the stock and worked out the fastest way to move it. In 2026 alone, GXO handed six UK grocery warehouses covering more than two million square feet to DP World, CEVA lined up a new 508,000 sq ft e-commerce warehouse in Derby, and Culina announced it would bring Stobart, Great Bear and eight other brands under one name.

There’s a lot going on. Large international groups are buying UK companies and expanding their services here. Many operators are adding robots and automation to their sites, and delivery firms are switching to electric vehicles. So what does this mean if you’re looking for a logistics provider? There are plenty of options, but you’ll need to do your homework.

To decide who to include, we checked which companies the top-ranking Google articles mention, reviewed the CILT (UK) Top 30 Logistics Service Providers for 2026, and researched each company’s latest revenue and news. This guide looks at the top 10 logistics companies in the UK for 2026, what each one does best and how to pick the right partner.

Why Businesses Work With the Top Logistics Companies in the UK

Access to Scale You Couldn’t Build Yourself

If you’re moving a large amount of product, a third-party logistics provider can save you money. These companies have large networks of warehouses and vehicles, so you’re not spending money to build your own, especially when volumes swing with the seasons.

Automation and Technology

The biggest UK operators have been investing heavily in robotics, warehouse management systems and data tools. Your business gets the benefit of that technology without carrying the cost on its own balance sheet.

Specialist Know-How

Chilled food, pharmaceuticals, automotive parts and defense goods all require specific handling. The best logistics companies already have the accreditations, temperature control and compliance processes in place.

Cleaner Supply Chains

As awareness of carbon footprints grows, more of the top 10 logistics companies in the UK are using electric vans, solar-roofed warehouses and greener fleets. Working with them can help reduce your supply chain emissions.

How to Choose the Right Logistics Partner in the UK

Match the Provider to Your Goods

A chilled food brand needs different skills from a car parts maker or an online fashion retailer. Shortlist providers that have handled similar goods before and hold the right accreditations.

Check Network Coverage

Check where a provider’s warehouses and depots sit. If your customers are mostly in Scotland or the South East, a network built around the Midlands may add time and cost.

Ask About Technology

Find out which warehouse and transport systems the provider uses and how easily they connect to yours. Good tracking and stock visibility can save hours of admin every week.

Review Financial Strength and Ownership

Mergers and acquisitions are reshaping the UK market, and a change of owner can affect how contracts are priced and serviced. Check recent annual results and news for any planned sales before you sign.

Compare Sustainability Plans

If your business reports on emissions, ask providers for electric fleet numbers, warehouse ratings and carbon data. Several of the top 10 logistics companies in the UK can supply this as standard.

Frequently Asked Questions About Logistics Companies in the UK

Which is the biggest logistics company in the UK?

That depends on the segment. DHL Supply Chain and GXO are among the biggest contract logistics operators, while Royal Mail, Evri and DPD are among the biggest names in parcels. There’s no single answer for every type of business.

What is the CILT (UK) Top 30 ranking?

It’s an annual ranking published by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. It scores providers on public financial data, accreditation, gender pay gap reporting, modern slavery statements and ESG practices. InPost was ranked No. 1 in 2026.

Are British-owned logistics companies better than global ones?

Not necessarily. British firms such as Culina and Unipart offer deep knowledge of the domestic market, while groups such as DSV and Kuehne+Nagel have international networks you can benefit from. The right choice depends on where your goods need to go.

Which top 10 logistics companies in the UK are best for e-commerce?

DPD UK is strong for parcel delivery, CEVA has added e-commerce fulfillment capacity at its Derby warehouse, and GXO and DHL run large UK contract logistics operations. No single provider is best for everyone, so compare service levels and pricing before you choose.

Conclusion

The UK logistics market is more automated and more consolidated in 2026 than it was a few years ago. Deals such as GXO and Wincanton, DSV and Schenker, and Culina’s rebrand show how quickly the landscape is changing.

The top 10 logistics companies in the UK each excel in a different area, from DHL’s automated warehouses to DPD’s electric delivery vans and Unipart’s lean expertise. Work out what you need from a logistics provider, then shortlist the partners that fit.
