Why this policy exists
CEO Review Magazine publishes independent journalism and, separately, content that companies pay for or supply. Readers should always be able to tell the difference. This policy explains how we keep the two apart.
Types of commercial content
- Sponsored or partner features: profiles, edition features and articles published in partnership with, or paid for by, the company or person featured.
- Press releases: announcements supplied by companies and published with light editing for clarity.
- Advertising: banners, edition placements and other paid promotions.
How it is labelled
Sponsored and partner content and press releases carry a disclosure note at the top of the article. Press releases are published in our Press Releases section. Links to a sponsor or client website in this content are marked as sponsored links.
Editorial standards still apply
Commercial content is still edited for accuracy and clarity. We check names, titles and key facts, and we do not publish claims we know to be false or content that breaches our standards or the law. Payment does not buy favourable coverage in our independent news reporting.
What sponsors cannot do
- Sponsors cannot review or change our independent news coverage.
- Sponsored content is never presented as independent reporting.
