Top 10 IT Companies in India 2026

A ranked guide to the top 10 IT companies in India for 2026, from TCS and Infosys to Coforge and Persistent, with verified FY26 revenue, headcount and 2026 news.

Top 10 IT Companies in India

India’s IT industry had an odd year. Revenue kept climbing, but headcount didn’t always keep pace. AI started writing code, and clients pushed harder on price.

But the sector is still massive. Tata Consultancy Services alone finished FY26 with US$30 billion in revenue and 584,519 employees, while Infosys topped US$20 billion in revenue for the first time. Mid-sized companies such as Coforge and Persistent grew much faster than the largest firms, and the giants reshaped their teams around AI.

For a CIO choosing a new provider, a founder deciding who to hire or an IT professional looking for work, that creates a real decision. Just because a company is the largest or the fastest-growing doesn’t mean it’s the right fit for your needs.

We reviewed the pages that rank best on Google for this topic, then checked each company’s FY26 results, headcount and 2026 news. This guide looks at the top 10 IT companies in India for 2026, ranked by FY26 revenue, with notes on what each firm does best.

Why Businesses Work With the Top IT Companies in India

Global Delivery at Scale

Large Indian IT firms run delivery centers across dozens of countries, which lets them staff big programs quickly. Clients can work with one partner for consulting, software development and long-term support, instead of juggling several vendors.

AI Built Into the Work

Every large firm on this list now reports AI-driven revenue or AI-led deal wins. TCS said its annualized AI revenue passed US$2.3 billion in Q4 FY26, while HCLTech said its Advanced AI revenue crossed US$620 million.

Cost Efficiency

Indian providers have competed on value for many years. Offshore delivery, mature processes and deep benches help clients cut running costs, and that leaves budget free for new investments.

Deep Industry Know-How

The top 10 IT companies in India work with banks, insurers, telecom operators and manufacturers around the world. Products such as Infosys Finacle and Oracle FLEXCUBE also power core banking systems for clients globally.

How to Choose the Right IT Partner

Match Scale to Your Project

Your vendor needs to be big enough to staff your work. A large global program may need a US$30 billion firm that can scale quickly, but a smaller project might get more senior attention from a mid-sized firm. Align the vendor’s scale to the size of your work.

Check Industry Experience

Ask vendors about recent deals in your sector. Mphasis has deep experience in banking and insurance, OFSS owns FLEXCUBE, and engineering services were HCLTech’s fastest-growing segment in FY26. Request references from other clients in your industry.

Test the AI Claims

Every vendor will tell you it has AI capabilities. Request examples of live client work, including the platform used and specific, measurable results. Ask how much of its recent deal wins are AI-led.

Review Financial Health

Margins, cash flow and deal wins give you a sense of whether a partner will be around for the long haul. All of the top 10 IT companies in India featured here are publicly listed, so you can easily review their quarterly results.

Ask About Delivery and Attrition

Ask where your team will be located, how attrition is trending and how handovers work. Attrition at most of the companies on this list was roughly 11% to 14% in FY26.
