2. Aditi Gupta, Menstrupedia
In a country where sanitary pads are given wrapped in black polyethene by the shopkeepers; Aditi Gupta is spreading awareness about this phenomenon. Born in Garhwa, Jharkhand. Aditi wrote a comic called Menstrupedia which has now progressed to a whole. Today, Menstrupedia has become best friend for the girls hitting the puberty.

This comic is used by over 6000 schools and 12 huge NGOs and has been interpreted in 11 languages, for now.

3. Radhika Ghai, Shopclues
Radhika Ghai completed her MBA from Washington University, and then started Shopclues. Shopclues is a platform where you can buy anything from technology to clothing.  She has also studied Web2.0 and Creative Writing from Stanford. In simpler words, if women empowerment had a face, it’d be her. The revenue of the company is 209.46 crores rupees annually.

4. Shubhra Chadda, Chumbak
Shubra Chadda is a young woman who always had a clear vision of her dreams. But she didn’t have the guts to leave her well payed job. In 2008, when she became a mother, that’s when she decided to turn her dreams into reality. She, then, with her husband, started Chumbak. Chumbak was initially a souvenir store and within a period of 5 years, it turned into a lifestyle store. It took Shubhra a lot of efforts to get into the list of top influential female entrepreneurs of India.

5. Suchi Mukherjee, Limeroad.com
Suchi Mukherjee started an online lifestyle store in year 2012 and named it as Limeroad. She was born in a middle-class family of Haryana and then completed her graduation and post-graduation from St Stephan New Delhi and London School of Economics UK, respectively. She has already won a lot of awards and is the e-commerce face of India. The annual revenue of her company was 160.2 crores in year 2017 and it has been growing ever since.

6. Ritu Kumar, Label Ritu Kumar
When we talk about the best fashion designers of India, this name shines the brightest. Ritu Kumar owns her own label. Studied at Lady Irwin College and later at Briarcliff College in New York, she started her business in Kolkata. She started her own label in year 2002 with her son Amish Kumar. Her annual turnover at that time was almost 10 billion rupees. That made her the most successful female entrepreneur of India.

7. Vandana Luthra, VLCC
The world-famous agglomerate VLCC was founded by Vandana Luthra. She is the CEO of various NGOs as well. Vandana was born in year 1959 in New Delhi. After completing her graduation from Polytechnic for Women, New Delhi, she went to Europe to learn more about beauty, food and nutrition. VLCC was founded in year 1989. VLCC’s revenue is about 500 crore rupees.

Falguni Nayar was born in 1963 in Mumbai. Before Nykaa, she worked with Kotak Mahindra Bank for 18 years. And then, in 2012, she started nykaa, a multi brand beauty retailer. As of 2017, Falguni’s net worth is 280 crores rupees.

9. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Biocon ltd
One of the biggest pharmaceuticals company in India is owned by Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw. Having a total of about 14.5 crores rupees assets, Biocon is employing over 9,200 employees. Kiran was born in 1953 in Pune, Maharashtra. She studied at Bangalore University and then Federation University. She was listed as the 65th most powerful woman by Forbes in the year 2019. She started Biocon in 1978. And ever since, it’s been flourishing every passing day.

10. Shahnaz Husain, Shahnaz Herbals Inc
Padma Shri award winner Shahnaz Husain started this herbal beauty care movement in 1971. It has been the leading in its field. The average annual turnover of Shahnaz Herbal Inc is 650 crores rupees. They have over 30,000 outlets which sell almost 350 products.
