What is glutathione and how not having enough can affect our good health.
From the interview, we learn how all cells in our bodies need to make their own supply of glutathione. They do this by first making Glyteine (gamma glutamylcysteine), which they then convert to glutathione. Problems arise when things go wrong with the cells, and they lose the capacity to make enough Glyteine to fuel their glutathione needs. With insufficient glutathione, the cells enter oxidative stress, which causes physiological damage to the cells and their associated tissue and organs, which manifests as symptoms. Every medical condition involves oxidative stress.
Glyteine – your only option!
The only treatment option based on theoretical biochemistry and confirmed in clinical trials to overcome this shortfall in Glyteine is Glyteine itself. Glutathione and N-acetylcysteine (NAC) are not effective solutions. Glutathione cannot enter cells intact and is effectively broken down to its component amino acids (glutamate, cysteine, and glycine) by an enzyme (gamma-glutamyltransferase) attached to the outside of most cells. These amino acids can enter your cells, but they can do nothing to overcome the dysfunctional production of Glyteine, which is the root cause of insufficient cellular glutathione. NAC is just a source of cysteine and likewise cannot help.  Glyteine, on the other hand, bypasses the problem and can enter cells and once inside is immediately converted to glutathione. The more Glyteine you take, then the higher the boost in cellular glutathione.
The journey to Continual-G
Before the launch of the Continual-G brand in 2019, there were no supplements containing Glyteine on the market. Recognizing Glyteine’s therapeutic potential over 25 years ago, Wallace’s UNSW research group first developed and patented a process for its manufacture. After securing business partners they then commenced pilot-scale manufacture to provide the Glyteine needed for clinical testing. What about immunity?
Viruses need to deplete cells of Glyteine so that they can manage their replication cycle. By taking Glyteine, you can keep your levels high and potentially disrupt the infection.
Why the master antioxidant?Â
