India shines at Grammy Awards: Shankar Mahadevan and Zakir Hussain win separate awards

Los Angeles is currently abuzz with the 66th Annual Grammy Awards 2024. Amongst the glitz and glamour, Indian musicians Shankar Mahadevan and Zakir Hussain have emerged as the shining stars with their fusion band ‘Shakti’ for Best Global Music for today’s afternoon’s spectacular work titled ‘This Moment’ album’ won a major Grammy.

In a triumphant moment captured on their first real (formerly Twitter) account by the Grammys, Mahadevan and teammate Ganesh Rajagopalan can be seen settling the title just to take the top award. The Grammy status proclaims, “Winner of Best Global Music Album – Congratulations on the power of ‘This is the Time. #GRAMMYs.”

In his heartfelt glorious speech, Mahadevan expressed gratitude to his teammates, group of relatives, group of friends and India, maintained happiness rather than approaching him initially and presented the award to his colleague, giving pleasure a strongly from the target market.

The album ‘This Moment’, which hit shelves on 30 June Ultimate 12 Months, boasts 8 soul-stirring tracks, with practical practical material from an experienced group of veterans features John McLaughlin (guitar and synth), Zakir Hussain ( tabla), Shankar Mahadevan (vocals), V Selvaganesh (vocals), and Ganesh Rajagopalan (drums). Their nomination in the Grammy beauty category put them in opposition with high-profile artists Susana Baca, Bocante, Berna Boy and Davido.

While the song across the globe is celebrating its excellence and stature at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards 2024 in Los Angeles, India gets to enjoy musicians-in-the-making Shankar Mahadevan and Zakir Hussain who once again sang the country’s music in the glory of the worldwide.
