Karnataka election 2023: PM Modi calls for support to make Karnataka No.1 state

Karnataka election 2023: On the eve of the Karnataka elections 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on the people of the state to support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in making Karnataka the number one state in India. In a video message released on Tuesday morning, PM Modi said that the state’s “double engine sarkar” and “decisive focussed and futuristic approach” could contribute to its growth and economy. He emphasized that Karnataka’s success is crucial to India’s overall goal of becoming one of the top three economies in the world.

Karnataka election 2023: Karnataka’s importance and diverse economy

Karnataka is one of the most important states in India with an area of 191,791 square kilometers and a population of approximately 69 million people. The state is home to some of the largest IT companies, and Bangalore, its capital city, is known as the Silicon Valley of India. The state has a rich cultural heritage and a diverse economy, with agriculture, mining, and manufacturing contributing significantly to its GDP.

 

PM Modi’s commitment to making Karnataka a leader of developed India

In his over eight-minute-long video message, PM Modi expressed his commitment to making Karnataka the leader of developed India. He emphasized the importance of Karnataka’s economy to India’s future and stated that the state’s success is key to India becoming one of the top three economies in the world. PM Modi said that Karnataka election 2023  is filled with a resolve to take the leadership of developed India, and that it is possible when the state’s economy grows fast and reaches the goal of a one trillion dollar economy.

PM Modi praised the BJP-led government’s policies, which he said have played a key role in expanding Karnataka’s economy. He cited the state’s foreign direct investment (FDI) of Rs 90,000 crore during the Covid pandemic period, which he said was nearly three times the amount received under the previous government. PM Modi stated that the BJP is committed to making Karnataka number one in investment, industry, and innovation, as well as in education, entrepreneurship, and employment.

BJP’s stronghold in Karnataka and upcoming elections

Karnataka has been a BJP stronghold since 2008, and the party has been in power in the state since 2019, with B. S. Yediyurappa as the chief minister. The state has been a significant contributor to the BJP’s overall success in the country, and the party is banking on retaining power in Karnataka in the upcoming elections.

PM Modi assured the people of Karnataka that the BJP government is committed to providing better infrastructure, improved transport facilities, and a better quality of life in cities and villages. He also promised new opportunities for women and youth, stating that the BJP will work with full commitment and honesty to achieve these goals. He emphasized that when people set a goal together, no power on earth can stop them from achieving it. He urged the people of Karnataka to come out and vote on May 10 to make their voices heard.

Improving infrastructure and the quality of life in the state is a key priority for the BJP government. The state government has undertaken several projects in the last few years to improve road connectivity, build new airports, and expand the metro network. The government has also launched several welfare schemes for farmers, women, and economically weaker sections of society. However, there is still a long way to go, and the BJP will need to continue its efforts to ensure that Karnataka becomes the number one state in India.

PM Modi evokes Karnataka’s cultural heritage and heroes

In his video message, PM Modi evoked the cultural heritage and heroes of Karnataka, including 12th-century social reformer Basaveshwara and Nadaprabhu Kempegowda, credited as the founder of Bengaluru. He said that it is the BJP’s responsibility to honor their heritage while taking it to modernity. PM Modi also mentioned “Anjaneya Swamy (Lord Hanuman)” in his brief address.
